Non sono una fotografa, ma amo immortalare i momenti, i paesaggi e tutto quello che cattura la mia attenzione quando esco da casa.

SEITAN SKEWERS FOR A SATURDAY LUNCH WITH FAMILY [SPIEDINI DI SEITAN PER UN SABATO IN FAMIGLIA]

Saturday the whole family reunited together for lunch, my sister Francesca and my brother in law Rocco came to Ferrara, for this occasion I naturally decided to prepare a nice vegan lunch; I must say that despite the fact that they are omnivores, they never despise my "different" dishes, even seem to appreciate everything and eat happy!

 Sabato tutta la famiglia si è riunita a pranzo insieme, mia sorella Francesca e mio cognato Rocco sono venuti a Ferrara, per questa occasione ho deciso naturalmente, di preparare un bel pranzo vegan; devo dire che pur essendo onnivori, non disprezzano mai i miei piatti "diversi", anzi sembrano apprezzare tutto e mangiano contenti!

In the morning I went to the grocery store with the idea of preparing a simple and light dish, especially because with this hot the desire to stay in the kitchen and eat elaborate foods, is really little!

 La mattina sono andata a fare la spesa con l'idea di preparare un piatto semplice e leggero, soprattutto perché con questo caldo la voglia di stare ai fornelli e di mangiare pietanze elaborate, è veramente poca!

I decided to cook the vegetables and seitan skewers served with tomatoes and fennels.

 Ho deciso di cucinare degli spiedini di seitan e verdure con contorno di pomodori e finocchi.

 Ingredients:
fresh seitan
carrots
zucchini
tomatoes
fennels
spices
extra virgin olive oil
integral salt 

Ingredienti:
seitan fresco
carote
zucchine
pomodori
finocchi
spezie 
olio evo
sale integrale

 First I diced carrots and zucchini and I boiled them for 5 minutes; in the meantime I diced seitan.

Per prima cosa ho tagliato a dadini le carote e le zucchine e le ho lessate per 5 minuti; nel frattempo ho tagliato a dadini il seitan.

Now comes the funny part, stick the seitan and vegetables in the skewer alternating them, turn the oven to 160° and place the skewers on a baking tray, brown them for 15 minutes. remove them from the oven and sprinkle with herbs, a pinch of salt and olive oil, cook them for another 10 minutes in a ventilated oven.


Adesso arriva la parte divertente, infilziamo il seitan e le verdure nello spiedino alternandole; accendete il forno a 160° e disponete gli spiedini su una teglia, lasciandoli rosolare per 15 minuti, toglieteli dal forno e cospargeteli di erbe aromatiche a piacere, un pizzico di sale integrale e olio evo, cuocete ancora per altri 10 minuti a forno ventilato.

 [The initial idea was to grilling them, but I didn't have time so I chose to cook them in the oven.]

 [L'idea iniziale era grigliare gli spiedini, ma per il poco tempo che avevo non sono riuscita e ho scelto di cuocerli in forno.]

Aside you can prepare the side dish, I opted for fresh vegetables such as tomatoes and fennels dressed with extra virgin olive oil, salt and basil.

 A parte potete preparate il contorno, io ho optato per verdure fresche come pomodori e finocchi conditi con olio extravergine di oliva, sale e basilico.

 Lunch is ready, fast, healthy and above all free from suffering!

 Il pranzo è pronto, veloce, sano e soprattutto privo di sofferenza!





VEGANS HAVE STYLE #PART 1

June is one of my favorite months, you can feel the summer is coming, the freedom, a walk in the sun, a run on a meadow, the canticle of the cicadas in the sunset time, the light which espands into the room in the early hours of the day, everything becomes more magical.

Giugno è uno dei mesi che preferisco, si percepisce l'estate che arriva, la libertà, una passeggiata sotto il sole, una corsa su un prato fiorito, il cantico delle cicale nell'ora del tramonto, la luce che si espande nella stanza nelle prime ore del giorno, tutto diventa più magico.

This is the the right time to take long walks outdoors, discovering new places in your own city; during this period, when I go out for a casual meeting, a shopping session or just a walk I want to be comfortable but at the same time maintaining  a certain style, for this I always wear shoes that combine comfort and elegance.

Questo è il periodo giusto per fare delle lunghe camminate all'aria aperta, scoprire posti nuovi nella propria città; in questo periodo, quando esco per un appuntamento informale, una sessione di shopping o una semplice una passeggiata voglio essere comoda ma nello stesso tempo mantenere un certo stile, per questo indosso sempre scarpe che uniscano comodità e eleganza.

I find that the Espadrilles are able to be a perfect meeting point, I love them because they allow you to be always fresh and dynamic, something in the middle of summer to don't underestimate, and likewise they have a unique style and some models are really cute and sophisticated! 

Trovo che le Espadrillas riescano ad essere un punto d'incontro perfetto, le adoro proprio perché ti permettono di essere sempre fresca e dinamica, cosa da non sottovalutare in piena estate, e allo stesso modo hanno uno stile unico e alcuni modelli sono proprio carini e sofisticati!


The easy availability in different colors and patterns, it makes me appreciate even more this kind of shoes that have a history and an ancient tradition, dated from the 14th century.

La facilità di reperibilità in diversi colori e fantasie, mi fa apprezzare ancora di più questo tipo di scarpe che hanno una storia e una tradizione antichissima, risalente al XIV secolo.


In addition they are in textile, more vegan than that?

WHOLE-WHEAT SQUARES: EAT HEALTHY AND SIMPLE [QUADROTTI AL FARRO INTEGRALI]

I love simplicity, in all aspects of life, even in the kitchen I prefer a diet consists of healthy foods and not too elaborate, therefor I decided to post this recipe, simple but tasty!

 Amo la semplicità, in tutti gli aspetti della vita, anche in cucina prediligo un'alimentazione composta da cibi sani e non troppo elaborati, per questo ho deciso di postare questa ricetta, semplice ma gustosa!

 They are the spelt whole-wheat squares, be careful because one leads to another!

 Sono i quadrotti al farro integrali, attenzione perché uno tira l'altro! 

 Ingredients:
100 gr spelt flour
150 gr whole-wheat flour
1 tablespoon mother yeast 
seasoned salt 
water

Ingredienti:
100 gr farina di farro bio
150 gr farina integrale bio
1 cucchiaio di lievito madre 
sale integrale aromatizzato alle erbe
acqua

 Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl, forming an elastic dough.
Wrap it up in a plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, after this time the dough should be leavened.

Mescoliamo tutti gli ingredienti insieme in una ciotola, andando a formare un impasto elastico. 
Avvolgerlo nella pellicola e lasciarlo riposare in frigo per 30 minuti; trascorso questo tempo l'impasto dovrebbe essere lievitato.

 Divide it into several parts, take a sheet of baking paper and sprinkle with oil, spread the dough with the help of the rolling pin and cut it into squares the size you prefer, bake it for 15 minutes at 180°.

Dividetelo in più parti, prendete un foglio di carta da forno e cospargetelo di olio, stendete con l'aiuto del mattarello l'impasto e tagliatelo a quadrati della grandezza che preferite; infornate per 15 minuti a 180°.

Once ready wait for it to cool down and savour them as you want, they are tasty as salty snack, insteas of bread...!

Una volta pronti aspettate che si raffreddino e gustateli come meglio credete, sono buoni come spuntino salato, al posto del pane...!

When it comes to making purchases, we poor vegan are forced to literally inspect stores.
If you happen to see a person who looks carefully an article for 10 minutes, well that's me!

Quando si tratta di fare degli acquisti, noi poveri vegan siamo costretti a ispezionare letteralmente i negozi.
Se vi capita di vedere una persona che guarda scrupolosamente un'articolo per 10 minuti, beh quella sono io!

 When I go shopping I seem really crazy, If you find a bag you have to be careful that every part is synthetic, shoes, accessories, concluding with purchases at the supermarket, where you have to carefully inspect the ingredient labels of any product close at hand, but you know that a vegan with some experience can in a tenth of a second flush ou the evil ingredient!

Posso sembrare veramente una pazza quando vado a fare shopping,  se si trova una borsa bisogna stare attenti che ogni sua parte sia sintetica, le scarpe, gli accessori, per concludere con gli acquisti al supermercato, dove bisogna ispezionare minuziosamente le etichette degli ingredienti di qualsiasi prodotto capiti sottomano, ma si sa che un vegan con una certa esperienza riesce in un decimo di secondo a scovare l'ingrediente malvagio!

 Speaking of fashion, for a woman shoes are a must, personally I love them, high heels, flat, if I have to choose I'd wear always sneakers, I'm a very sporty girl!

 Parlando di fashion, per una donna le scarpe sono un must, personalmente le adoro, sia tacchi alti che flat; se devo scegliere indosserei sempre sneakers, sono una tipa molto sportiva!

 Surfing the net I had the opportunity to find many sites with vegan products, to my surprise I see that the market is opening up to our world.

 Navigando nella rete ho avuto l'opportunità di trovare molti siti con prodotti vegan, con mia sorpresa vedo che il mercato si sta aprendo verso il nostro mondo.

 I found this very nice site, VEGANSTYLE.COM, where you can find a variety of shoes for women and men.

 Ho trovato questo sito molto carino, VEGANSTYLE.COM, dove si può trovare una varietà di scarpe, sia da donna che da uomo.

On June 15, there will be the STOP VIVISECTION EUROPEAN DAY, an important petition that will involve the 27 European Union countries, to say STOP to animal testing in scientific laboratories!

Il 15 giugno si terrà lo STOP VIVISECTION EUROPEAN DAY, un'importante raccolta firme che coinvolgerà i 27 paesi dell'Unione Europea, per dire STOP alla sperimentazione sugli animali nei laboratori scientifici!

 The goal is to reach 1000 signatures in at least 7 countries of EU, in order to seek the repeal of directive 2010/63/EU on protection of animals used for scientific purposes and submit a proposal to abolish animal testing.

L'obiettivo da raggiungere è di 1000 firme in almeno 7 paesi dell'UE, per poter chiedere l'abrogazione della direttiva 2010/63/UE sulla protezione degli animali utilizzati a fini scientifici e presentare una proposta per abolire la sperimentazione animale.

Since I discovered Instagram I can't do without!

JUNE 10, 2013: ITALY CELEBRATES THE FEAST OF THE NAVY

Today Italy celebrates the Feast of the Navy; not knowing, exactly this morning I came across a moment of silence in remembrance of the fallen victims during the war in 1918.

 Oggi in Italia si celebra la Festa della Marina Militare; non sapendolo, mi sono imbattuta proprio questa mattina in un momento di raccoglimento in ricordo delle vittime cadute durante la guerra nel 1918.

The day was established March 13, 1939 and is dedicated to the actions accomplished at sea during the 1st World War, in the effort of Premuda of June 10, 1918.

La giornata è stata istituita il 13 Marzo 1939 ed è dedicata proprio alle azioni compiute in mare durante la 1° Guerra Mondiale, nell'impresa di Premuda del 10 giugno 1918. 

 I stopped and I wanted to capture this beautiful moment where in an instant the time has gone back and stopped.

Mi sono fermata e ho voluto immortalare questo bellissimo momento dove in un istante il tempo è tornato indietro e si è fermato.

I leave you with the phrase that is stated on the monument dedicated to the fallen, placed here in Ferrara:

Finally it's saturday, the weekend started, summer is upon us, and madness is increasingly rampant; speaking about things rather odd, I couldn't share a "discovery" that I have done on the web, it's a pair of jeans designed by Acquacalda Design, called PicNic pants.

 Finalmente è sabato, il weekend è iniziato, l'estate è alle porte, e la pazzia è sempre più dilagante; parlando di cose alquanto strane, non potevo non condividere una "scoperta" che ho fatto nel web, si tratta di un paio di jeans ideati da Acquacalda Design, chiamati i PicNic pants.


These pants are created in a way that when you cross your legs, it forms a surface that helps to consume food during a typical picnic.

 Si tratta di pantaloni creati in modo che quando si incrociano le gambe, si forma una superficie che aiuta a consumare i cibi durante un tipico picnic. 

 I find that the idea is crazy and brilliant at the same time; if the surface at the crotch area is not enough, there are also side adjustable pockets for drinks, well now you can't complain if you don't know what to wear during a picnic!

 Trovo che l'idea sia pazza e geniale nello stesso tempo; se la superficie a livello del cavallo dei pantaloni non vi basta, ci sono anche delle tasche laterali orientabili per portare i drink, insomma adesso non potrete lamentarvi se non sapete cosa indossare durante un picnic!

 What prevails in these jeans is for sure the functionality and practicability, who has never had a saturday afternoon with a picnic lunch sitting on a lawn and had difficulty on where to place the food?
Surely now we will have no more of these problems and the weekend at the park is saved!


Quello che prevale in questi jeans è di sicuro la funzionalità e praticità, chi non si è mai trovato un sabato pomeriggio con il pranzo al sacco seduto su un prato e ha avuto difficoltà su dove appoggiare il cibo? 
Sicuramente adesso non avremo più di questi problemi e il weekend al parco è salvo!

Oggi giornata di lavoro intensa e interessante sotto tutti i punti di vista.
Conoscere nuove persone è sempre stimolante e avere la possibilità di farlo nella propria città è sicuramente un piacere!

Meeting new people is always challenging and have the chance to do it in your own city is definitely delight!

La particolarità delle Sisters sta nel fatto che quando si riuniscono riescono sempre ad unire le proprie energie ed escono fuori sempre idee produttive e interessanti!

 The peculiarity of the Sisters is that when they get together they always manage to join their energies and always come out productive and interesting ideas! 


 Non parliamo ancora, ma siamo sulla buona strada per tante collaborazioni e progetti nuovi e coinvolgenti!

 We don't speak yet, but we are on track for many collaborations and new and engaging projects!


Per l'occasione ho scelto un look casual-chic, che esprime al meglio la mia personalità, con blusa verde smeraldo, jeans skinny e sneakers verdi.

 For this occasion I chose a casual-chic look that best expresses my personality, with a emerald green blouse, skinny jeans and green sneakers. 




La mattinata si è conclusa nella gioielleria "XENTO", in via della Luna, dove ho avuto l'opportunità di conoscere la titolare, Anna Giulia, simpaticissima e piena di energie che traspaiono anche dalle sue creazioni!

 The morning ended in the jewelry "XENTO", in via della Luna, where I had the opportunity to meet the owner, Anna Giulia, very nice and full of energies that shine even from her creations!


Speriamo che la fatina ci porti tanta fortuna!

 It's a line of jewelry born in 2011, designed by a design studio based in Atlanta; 
Their line of thought meets perfectly with my vegan soul, as it appears on the site, the world would be a better place if we stop to appreciate the nature, and the fact of bringing a plant close to the heart fully expresses this philosophy of thought that approaches man to nature.

I gioielli sono prodotti con una nuova tecnica conosciuta come 3D printing, che aiuta a ridurre l'impatto sull'ambiente, un altro punto a loro favore!

 Jewels are produced with a new technique  kwown as 3D printing, which helps reduce the impact on the environment, another point in their favor!


Il sito è molto carino e offre l'opportunità di conoscere le fasi di creazione dei prodotti, è presente anche un'interessante guida su come piantare le piantine!

 The site is very nice and offers the opportunity to know the steps for product creation, there is also an interesting guide on how to plant the seedlings!
